The FARMHOUSE of H5L ('the Vegetable Garden of the Five Moons') has 6 acres of land. It sits at 500 mts (1640ft) in a fertile valley, with magnificent mountain views.

Through the middle of the finca runs the Bocaleones river (pictured right), which it rises just 4 miles upstream. You can enjoy the sparkling clean river only 20 mts away from the house. In the crystalline water you may see a variety of water plants, fishes and if you are lucky you may even see an otter.

During the heat of the summertime H5L remains cool and refreshing because of the river and water features.

The FARM is divided by the river into two plots of land: the Terraced Patios and the Organic Vegetable Garden.

You can always enjoy our well-maintained Terraced Patios, both sunny and shaded terraces. The house is surrounded by aromatic herbs, flowers and shrubs, olive, quince, orange and palm trees.

The garden and lawned area have benefitted from a great attention to detail, particularly around our various water features: it is a perfect place for solitary relaxation or social events. The garden can be illuminated at night, so you can eat, relax and sit around day or night.

We have an Organic Vegetable Garden (Huerta), watered by our own irrigation channel (acequias) a system dates back to Moorish times. One acre of cultivated land provides us with all the usual veggies with a variety of fruit trees growing among them. The garden is maintained by your hosts and two local part-time gardeners.

The HOUSE is a typical Andalusian style countryhouse more than 100 years old. It has been restored and adapted sensitively, while preserving its original features. It provides comfortable accommodation without the loss of its rustic charm: we have preserved the beams, cobbles, wood, tiles, ceramics, terracota roof tiles and other details to retain a simple southern décor. This ensures you will enjoy the house in what is close to its original state. With its beam-and-cane ceiling, thick white and rocky walls and flagstone floor, the house gives you a feeling of having stepped back in time.
