In March 2024 we will open the Cinco Lunas Retreat Center and Vegan Conscious Guesthouse.

This magical hidden oasis with its charming, playful Andalusian country house and the lush green garden amidst the Andalusian dry vegetation is located on a fresh river and surrounded by babbling water canals.

The Cinco Lunas is located near the dreamy white village of Zahara de la Sierra in the Sierra Grazalema in Andalusia, Spain, where the lovingly designed and furnished farm house has served as a guest use for over 20 years until October 2023.

In cooperation with the owner Gonzalo, we are currently redesigning the Cinco Lunas as a retreat center and vegan guesthouse which will open its doors in March 2024.

For this we are creating at the moment a ceremony dome and a covered yoga terrace for retreats in spring and summer season and a small seminar room in the upper floor of the main house for retreats with small groups in fall and winter season.

With the Cinco Lunas Retreat Center we want to create a safe and mindful space where inner work can be done and transformation can take place. A place where people can come together to process and dance, to laugh and cry, to feel their pain and transform it with joy.
A place where wisdom keepers of ancient traditions come together and share their gifts for the world.
A place of creativity where new visions see the light of day and want to be carried in all directions.

With the Cinco Lunas Vegan Conscious Guesthouse we want to create a mindful place where our guests take time to rest and to reconnect. With nature and with themselves. A vegan and alcohol-free place where like-minded people meet.

Our aim is to open a field of mindfulness, growth and togetherness at Cinco Lunas and we warmly welcome you to this beautiful green oasis.

We have been working in the area of process work, holistic healing and inner transformation for over 10 years. Through our own inner work and the work in our retreats that we have shared in various countries in Europe over the last decade, we are able to open a space and an energy field for transformation and process work, which we have implemented with clear focus and intention at the Cinco Lunas Retreat Center.

We offer the Cinco Lunas Retreat Center for rental for a minimum of 3 nights or longer, as well as daily rental or half-day rental and hourly rental if available.

During times when we have not planned or booked retreats, we offer Cinco Lunas as a vegan, alcohol-free, conscious guesthouse for mindful holidays. And depending on the current available offers at our place during your stay, you may have the opportunity to take advantage of offers such as yoga, meditation, sound healing, massages or similar.

The Sierra de Grazalema natural reserve is a popular holiday area for Spaniards and foreign visitors. It is a popular area for hikers and nature enthusiasts from all over the world.

The area around Algodonales and the Sierra de Grazalema mountain range is also one of the most popular paragliding areas in the world. Tandem flights can be booked, paragliding courses can be taken or experienced paragliders can independently explore the Sierra de Grazalema from above and you can even fly together with the vultures.

If you prefer to stay on the ground, you can go on river hikes that take you from Cinco Lunas along or even through the Rio Bocaleones to the Bocaleones Canyon. You can also take guided canyoning tours through the Garganta Verde Canyon, at whose heights Europe’s largest vulture colony is located. Vultures represent transformation.

You can take a trip to the enchanting village of Zahara de la Sierra, which is one of the “Pueblos Blancos” – the 30 white villages of Andalusia and also one of the “Los Pueblos Más Bonitos de España” – the most beautiful Spanish villages.
In summer time, you can cross the Zahara de la Sierra lake by canoe or standup paddleboard. During the day or during full moon rides. (not available at the moment, because of water low level).

Not far away is the city of Ronda, which is a UNESCO world heritage site thanks to its impressive historic bridge and romantic old town, where Hemmingway once spent several summers as a part-time resident.

The city of Seville is about 1 hour and 30 minutes away and is one of the most beautiful cities in Europe with its beautiful historical buildings.

It takes about 1 hour and 45 minutes to reach the beaches of the Atlantic Ocean in the west or the Mediterranean in the east.

The impressive Caminito del Rey mountain trail, which has also been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site, can be reached in about 1 hour and 30 minutes. And for some it’s probably a dizzying tour due to its height.

So there is a lot to discover and to experience in our region….

The Cinco Lunas Retreat Oasis is a project of the Austria based non-profit association Visiones, which was founded in 2019 by us Désirée and Markus (both from Germany).
For many years we have had a vision that keeps coming back and becomes more and more present. The vision of a center for transformation, holistic healing and spiritual growth.
Since 2012 we have been on a committed path of our own transformation, healing and inner growth. In learning to walk this path, we have dedicated our lives to supporting others on their individual journeys and sharing with others what we have learned so far.
With the Cinco Lunas we are now bringing our vision into reality and launching our first retreat center, which is located very near to our home base in Spain.

Our beloved friend and manager Sabina, who enlivens Cinco Lunas with her energy and takes care of the organizational management of the retreat center and guest house, will be your contact person in advance and on site. Sabina is a free spirit, who is also German but shefeels home in the world, in nature and with animals aroud her. She will live at Cinco Lunas with a bunch of cats. We are happy to have her there so that she can share her gifts at Cinco Lunas. 

We have a long-term lease on Cinco Lunas from Gonzalo, who owns the place and has run Cinco Lunas as a guesthouse for over 20 years. He is still the operator of Cinco Lunas, but now more in the background and is now focusing more on his passion of playing chess.

• From Seville Airport you need to take a bus or a taxi to Seville Prado San Sebastian or Plaza de Armas bus station. From there there is a bus connection to Algodonales. From Algodonales we can offer a pick up to bring you to Cinco Lunas or you can come by taxi (15 min).
  From Seville to Algodonales there are typically two buses per day mornings and evenings on weekdays and one bus per day in the morning on weekends and public holidays. Buses back from Algodonales to Seville usually run three times a day on weekdays and once a day in the evening on weekends and public holidays. Deviations are possible.
• From Jerez de la Frontera Airport you need to take a bus or a taxi to the Jerez main bus station. And from there you have a bus connection to Algodonales. From Algodonales we can offer a pick up to bring you to Cinco Lunas or you can come by taxi (15 min).
  From Jerez to Algodonales there are typically two or three buses per day on weekdays and one bus per day in the morning on weekends and public holidays. Buses back from Algodonales to Jerez de la Frontera usually run two times a day on weekdays and once a day on weekends and public holidays in the evening. Deviations are possible
• From Málaga airport you need to take a bus or a taxi to Málaga bus station. And from there you have to take a bus via Ronda to Algodonales or to Zahara de la Sierra. From Zahara de la Sierra or from Algodonales we can offer a pick up to bring you to Cinco Lunas or you can come by taxi (15 min from Algodonales / 5 min from Zahara de la Sierra).
  From Málaga to Algodonales there is typically one bus per day on weekdays, weekends and public holidays in the afternoon. Buses back from Algodonales to Málaga usually run once a day on weekdays, weekends and public holidays in the morning. From Málaga to Algodonales or from Algodonales to Málagáa you need to change the bus in Ronda. Deviations are possible.

The price of a taxi from Seville airport or Jerez airport to Cinco Lunas is approximately € 120,-. From Málaga it might be a little more expensive.

We, as the non-profit organization Visiones Asiciación, are very grateful that the opportunity came into our lives to lease the Cinco Lunas for our project and to convert it into a Retreat Center and Vegan Conscious Guesthouse.
However, adapting to the needs of a retreat center requires a lot of preparatory work and, above all, advance investment before we can open in March 2024. In order to generate this budget for the conversion into a retreat center, we launched a financing model, which consists of four financing modalities – crowdfunding, sponsorship, invetments and private loan. 100% of the profits of this financing plan will go to the Cinco Lunas Retreat Center project.
Among other things, this budget to be generated is needed for a ceremony dome, a yoga terrace, single beds and mattresses, yoga mats & yoga equipment, ceremony mats, meditation cushions & blankets, the rental deposit & bail, different working materials, advertisement and other purchases.

We are very happy about every support in implementing this center for holistic healing, transformation and spiritual and personal growth.
